A Wedding Weekend

{dress, shoes-old, similar}

I have to share some pictures from one of my best friends, Angela, wedding today! Since I was in the wedding party, I didn't have much time to take any pictures with my good camera so these iPhone pictures will have to do. Angela got married at the Columbus Museum of Art (beautiful!) on Saturday and everything was just perfect.

Watching your girlfriends get married is one of the best things in the world...you get to see them at their very happiest and see all the hard work that they put in for the past year planning finally come together!

Not to mention, our little bride this weekend resembled a supermodel. I'm talkin' gorgeous. She was glowing...

See what I mean? Beauty right there.

I don't know about you, but two of my favorite parts at weddings are being able to get ready with all the girls together beforehand, and then watching the bride read her card from the groom/open her surprise gift. Steve, the groom, wrote Angela the sweetest card and got her an infinity bracelet from Tiffany's and there wasn't a dry eye in the room...her reaction was so sweet and touching.

Classic getting ready pic...

 Is her dress not perfect? Stunning!

 Just married :)

The bridesmaids all wore cobalt chiffon dresses and all of us had different styles of the dress. I wish I had a picture of all of them but I don't! I absolutely loved the color...

...and what party bus would be complete without a pole in the back? Let's just say being the only sober one on that bus for two hours made for a VERY interesting ride... ;)

 The whole day went so smoothly and Angela was just so excited the entire time about every little detail. Her and Steve are so in love and it makes me tear up thinking about it...weddings-oh how I love you!

 Now, the bride and groom are off to Thailand for 2 weeks and I am officially extremely jealous.

That's a wrap for today... this preggo chick is still recovering from the day (hey, it was long and my legs were killing me from dancing all night long!) even after napping most of the day yesterday.

Come back tomorrow to weigh in on if you think Baby K will be a BOY OR GIRL!
 (Weds is the big day!)

aka let's see what these old wives' tales have to say...

Our 4th In Photos

{My handsome date-have you seen a cuter wedding outfit for groomsmen? The suspenders, pants, shoes, everything! My dress is from here}

{the perfect weather}

{morning walks by the lake with Rocky}

 {my favorite "cottage"}

{getting crazy with my flavored water ;)}

 {night boat ride-we were able to see about 6 or 7 different fireworks shows from the lake!}

{BGSU boys reunion!}

The good: All of the above, a new family member (congratulations Cara & Doug!), a gorgeous wedding, a 4th celebration and cookout with family, and multiple firework shows.

The not so good: Rocky getting attacked by a bulldog (who is normally a very sweet dog-and luckily Rocky is OK...it could've been a lot worse), sleeping on a boat (not pictured: the backache I still have that resulted from it), and the simple fact that I didn't have an excuse as to why my dance moves suck ;) everyone else can blame it on the a a a a alcohol...

How was your holiday spent? hope everyone had a lovely, long weekend!

My Best Friend's Engagement Party // Pumpkin Patch Goodness

 {follow me via instagram for first looks of all this fun!}

This weekend was a big one, particularly Sunday.

I hosted a small engagement party for my best friend Lindsay with our closest girlfriends, her mom, and my stepmom. On the menu was anything brunch related and mimosa's galore, as you can see. I might be biased, but that's my kinda party. We had egg quiche, egg muffins that were Pinterest inspired {recipe coming tomorrow!}, fruit cups, pecan rolls {the word heavenly doesn't do these justice}, and of course-the cutest ring cookies I have ever seen for dessert. Have you ever seen cookies look so cute before? I told my girlfriend Rachel, who made them, that she needs to start doing cookies as a side job. She does such an amazing job! I set up orange and raspberry juices with some fruit for the mimosa's, a little mimosa bar you could say.

Everything turned out wonderful and it was so nice to be able to celebrate her with those that love her most. Congratulations Lindsay, hope you loved it! :)

*I got the "I Do" pillow from Hobby Lobby
**The prints in my office are from Crystal Faye!

The pictures aren't over yet.

Later that day, it was time to give our local pumpkin patch a visit. This pumpkin patch is known for their amazing specialty caramel apples and pumpkin donuts {these deserve to be bold}, so naturally Billy got a donut and I got my favorite m&m caramel apple.

Oh, and I got a cider slushie because well, why would you not get a cider slushie? They were all just too good to be true....

this might be my favorite picture I've ever taken...haha
"mmm...donut fingazz"

It's safe to say we had a good weekend.

How about you?

WEEKEND FIT FOR A QUEEN

 I swear I am under this pile of hair somewhere...
good look, no?

Everyone loves a good photobooth...
(with my best friend Lindsay's family)

This past weekend my girlfriend Genna officially tied the knot and made herself a Queen. Literally. Queen is her new last name (how cool is that?) and I think it's pretty fitting for her, am I right? I've been friends with Genna since high school (10+ years-whoa I'm old) and I felt so blessed and honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! The day was so easy going leading up until the ceremony + reception, and then all of us broke loose when we surprised the bride and groom with a flash mob to the Gangnam Style video.

Here's how it went down: The bride's brother sent out a private facebook message asking 30+ of us to learn the moves from the dance and that we would all get up after the groom's dance with his mother when the DJ started playing the song. Black sunglasses were strategically placed under the wedding tables for whoever wanted to participate and we all went up on stage and started dancing... the bride and groom had no idea and it was PRICELESS. Still waiting on a good video of this to share, but if you aren't familiar with this dance I suggest You Tubing it. Equal parts of cheesy + funny.

Congratulations to my sweet friend Genna and her husband Justin! You looked beautiful, Genna.

The rest of my weekend was spent watching my Buckeyes dominate Nebraska at home for our night game (NINE TOUCHDOWNS!) Billy's brother and cousin were in town, including my cousin Natasha, so we had a blast partying down on campus for this game. Sunday was spent wondering where the heck the rest of my weekend went and snuggling up on the couch....WITH OUR HEAT on. Yep, it hit 40 degrees this morning but I can't say that I'm hating it (yet).

those waffles up there? Pumpin spice. Yum in the tum.

How was your weekend?
Does anyone else have the heat on in their house? come on, make me feel better about this. ;)
