A Wedding Weekend

{dress, shoes-old, similar}

I have to share some pictures from one of my best friends, Angela, wedding today! Since I was in the wedding party, I didn't have much time to take any pictures with my good camera so these iPhone pictures will have to do. Angela got married at the Columbus Museum of Art (beautiful!) on Saturday and everything was just perfect.

Watching your girlfriends get married is one of the best things in the world...you get to see them at their very happiest and see all the hard work that they put in for the past year planning finally come together!

Not to mention, our little bride this weekend resembled a supermodel. I'm talkin' gorgeous. She was glowing...

See what I mean? Beauty right there.

I don't know about you, but two of my favorite parts at weddings are being able to get ready with all the girls together beforehand, and then watching the bride read her card from the groom/open her surprise gift. Steve, the groom, wrote Angela the sweetest card and got her an infinity bracelet from Tiffany's and there wasn't a dry eye in the room...her reaction was so sweet and touching.

Classic getting ready pic...

 Is her dress not perfect? Stunning!

 Just married :)

The bridesmaids all wore cobalt chiffon dresses and all of us had different styles of the dress. I wish I had a picture of all of them but I don't! I absolutely loved the color...

...and what party bus would be complete without a pole in the back? Let's just say being the only sober one on that bus for two hours made for a VERY interesting ride... ;)

 The whole day went so smoothly and Angela was just so excited the entire time about every little detail. Her and Steve are so in love and it makes me tear up thinking about it...weddings-oh how I love you!

 Now, the bride and groom are off to Thailand for 2 weeks and I am officially extremely jealous.

That's a wrap for today... this preggo chick is still recovering from the day (hey, it was long and my legs were killing me from dancing all night long!) even after napping most of the day yesterday.

Come back tomorrow to weigh in on if you think Baby K will be a BOY OR GIRL!
 (Weds is the big day!)

aka let's see what these old wives' tales have to say...

Bachelorette Bash At The Lake

Nothing like a good ole power outage to start your Monday morning off right! Can you say feeling a little behind/out of the loop?! Yep-that's me right now, but I'm pushing through.

So, this past weekend was spent celebrating one of my best friends, Angela's, bachelorette party....

What do you get when you combine a lake house and 12 girls? A good freaking time, as you can imagine.

The weekend consisted of:
-A winery tour and dinner at Mon Ami on Thursday night
-A pool day on Friday
-Taking a ferry to Put-in-Bay Friday evening to have our fancy bachelorette night out!
-A booze cruise/boat ride and rounds on the jetski (supplied by my lovely husband and his friend who were total rockstars and offered to do this for us!)
-Late night dance parties
-Inappropriate/really appropriate bachelorette "gift" items (girls-you know what I mean..)
-Laughing so hard until tears are formed and new memories made with all your girlfriends

...and much more.

Here's a glimpse via pictures into our time:

Our beautiful lake house we rented...3 bedrooms, a loft space, huge kitchen, and right on the water!
 (if anyone wants more info on this for the future-feel free to email me! Highly recommend this place to stay!)
the bride to be with her sister and Mom
a night at the local winery (so cute!)
 Me and the bride to be (love you Ang!) :)

Views from the back deck
Isn't she beautiful?!
What happens when you anchor the boat and you really want that 4 person raft you bought to be tied up to the boat...you convince your husband to pick it up (with 2 girls) with a rope from our house (pictured in the back)...#priceless
Lingerie partay goodies...
.....and a shot of fireball for every missed guess (we did a game where each girl had to write a funny story or memory that they have with the bride and she had to guess who's it was. One shot for the bride for every missed guess, and if she got it right-one shot for the person who wrote the story!)
 Car full of girls dressed in black (and bride in white :))
 made it to the island!
 {this jumpsuit is from Macy's (American Rag brand) from a couple years ago! Coral necklace is from Forever21 recently}

last but not least, beautiful sissy's...

It just can't get much better than that.

Most importantly, our little bride to be had the best time and that's truly what matters the most, right?!

Angela's Bachelorette Bash At The Lake = Success!

Traveling From Miss to Mrs!

Yesterday was the true start of so many fun weekends ahead for this summer! Each weekend from here on out for the next two months or so will be spent celebrating so many things (starting with my birthday/Memorial Day weekend this weekend!), and of course that just means a lot of fun is about to be had.

This weekend we celebrated one of my best friends, Angela, at her bridal shower! She is getting married in July and her younger sister and 4 of us bridesmaids put together a "traveling theme" bridal shower for her. Angela and her soon to be husband love to travel and are going to Thailand for their honeymoon (beyond jealous...yes, I have begged her to put me in her suitcase), so we actually decided to have PF Changs cater the event with their chicken lettuce wraps, spring rolls, dynamite shrimp, and crab wontons. We also had some other appetizers like a veggie tray, cheese plates, fruit, etc. and it all turned out to be perfect!

The party was held at the party room in "The Barn" at the Farms, which is a nice apartment complex in Dublin. It was the perfect setting for the day, and the rustic vibe of the place went perfect with our decorations!

Naturally, the party wouldn't have been complete without a mimosa bar to celebrate the bride to be...

 {maps covered the vases!}

A family member even made this awesome wedding dress cupcake cake and had letter initials in one of her wedding colors (cobalt blue-our bridesmaids dresses are this color!) sitting above it...it turned out so cute and was delicious!

 {Angela & her younger sister Nicole...beauties, right?}

 {the bride to be with her bow bouquet}

It couldn't have been a more perfect shower, except for the fact that it went by so quickly! All of us girls have been friends since high school (so many memories-most of which wouldn't be appropriate to share here ;) you know how that goes!) and I love that we still remain so close and got to plan this shower for Angela together! It's truly such a blessing, especially that we all still live in the same city. I feel like that doesn't happen often anymore. Definitely so thankful for that!

I'll be reporting back in a few weekends after her bachelorette bash for another recap. So beyond excited for that...it's going to be like a mini vacay and we've got some crazy things up our sleeves (which is necessary for a bachelorette party, right? Right!)

Angela, we all love you so much and hope you loved everything! You are going to be the most beautiful bride in the world! Cheers to celebrating again in a few weeks!

Birthday Surprises {Happy Birthday Husband}

Internet problems on a Monday morning = should never be allowed to happen. Especially when said Monday morning is my lovely husbands birthday!

This weekend we...
+celebrated at a Japanese steakhouse
+celebrated with a big breakfast made by moi Saturday morning (and he came downstairs to a bunch of balloons with love notes tied on them..big thanks to Pinterest for telling me that double-sided tape would get them to stick to the ceiling. Nope...#Pinterestfail)

+had a surprise winery tour and tastings with our best friends!

Back story: I told Billy I had made plans for us Saturday afternoon and evening, but he had no idea what we were doing and who with. He guessed just about everything under the sun (and it WAS out Saturday..), but never guessed what I had planned. I wanted to have a surprise party for him with his best friends (without the actual big "party" part since he said at one point he didn't want that), so I thought a relaxing day at a winery we have been wanting to go to with a dinner afterwards would be the perfect thing.

A couple weekends ago, I asked Billy's best friend Cory and his wife to come down for the day from Cleveland (about two hours away) to surprise him at the winery we were going to, then afterwards we would get dinner with all our friends (because some couldn't make it to the actual tasting.) We were sitting together tasting some wine when Cory and his wife walked in and he was so surprised and happy to see them!

Later that night, he was surprised again with all our friends showing up at dinner. There was about 11 of us and we ate, drank, sang happy birthday, dominated a delicious cake (that I forgot to take pictures of)....I'd say it was a big success! Smiles on Billy's face = happy wife who pulled off a big surprise...

+And on Sunday we celebrated again with a shopping trip and I made him my Mom's lasagna recipe for dinner, which is his favorite.

Birthday's should be every weekend. And the best part? It's not over yet. More surprises for him are still on their way...

Happy, happy 29ISH birthday husband (and to my awesome sister-in-law, Jackie! We love you!) Each year you get more and more handsome and I enjoy everyday spent with you that much more-those are two things I know for sure! Thank you for being my rock. my protector. and my best friend. You mean the world to me and I'm so lucky to have you in my life. But no, I will not tell you what is still on the way, so stop asking. Mwah! :)

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
