Labor Day Weekend Snaps

Happy September! Sorry for the radio silence over the past few days, folks.

We had our anniversary on Thursday and as it turned out, I forgot to get my post up on Friday (which are typically my favorite ones!) and then we soaked up the long Labor Day weekend. I hope everyone had a fabulous, holiday weekend with some extra rest in there!

Half our weekend was spent at home and the other half was spent up at the lake with family. For our anniversary, we tried a new place that we'd been wanting to try for dinner together. We went to The Crest and loved it...the food was delicious (lots of organic and vegetarian options!) and they had a cute rooftop garden area where you could get drinks while waiting for your table.

We decided to just exchange small gifts this year since we have a little babe on the way and we're going on vacation later this month, which will really be our gift to each other! We're going back to one of our favorite places, Naples, Florida for 6 days as our last trip just the two (three) of us! I guess this fits into the "babymoon" category, doesn't it? Anyway, Billy got me what I truly needed and wanted...a one hour prenatal massage. Seriously cannot wait to go! And I got Billy new Sperry's that he desperately needed as well.

Guess who surprised us with these beautiful anniversary flowers?

This girl. She is the best ever. How gorgeous are they though?

Aaaand now, some pictures from the lake!

I finally got to visit this huge farmers market in the area to stock up on fruits and veggies for the week. Mainly I just went for the peaches. I mean, the PEACHES right now! Ahh...don't get me started...

For the most part, we really lucked out with the weather for the weekend because it was calling for a lot of rain but ended up turning out to be a gorgeous 2 days so we spent a lot of time on the, you guessed it, boat. Billy even got to go water skiing for the first time this year...

All in all, a really great holiday weekend! Couldn't ask for anything more.

How was your weekend? Who's excited that it's moving more into the fall? My favorite season of all, but I'm sure you've NEVER heard me say that have you?! :) Aside from our trip at the end of the month, I am all for the cooler temp's and welcome them with open arms, especially when pregnant. Bring on the over sized, comfy clothes! Oh and pumpkin related everything isn't so bad either...

This month is looking like it's going to be a good one: the crib is being delivered tomorrow, I'm going to the Jason Aldean/Florida Georgia Line concert with my best friend, it's football season, and of course our trip at the end of the month! Soon after that our baby showers will be around the corner...where in the world is the time going?!

  1. Enjoy the concert!! We saw Jason Aldean last year at Fenway Park and it was one of the best concerts! I could listen to him sing all day long.

  2. Happy belated anniversary!! Prenatal massages have to be the best gifts for pregos! I got one while we were in Clearwater this weekend and it was fantastic! Looks like youhad a relaxing weekend! Love that lake house!

  3. Bring on the fall weather, outfits and pumpkin everything!

  4. Sounds like an awesome weekend!! Happy Anniversary to you & Billy!!

  5. Love the pictures at the lake. Our lakes in NC don't look near as beautiful as that!

  6. Love that beach house pic gorgeous.. Happy Anniversary! Idk I'm pretty partial to summer and boating but then again we have a ski house too.. And I have been wanting to wear boots!

  7. I am SO excited for fall too! We got our crib delivered last week and we have the dresser...now we just need to paint the nursery and get things set up! :)

  8. Happy belated Anniversary! It looks like you all had a wonderful time away!

  9. Looks like a fabulous weekend - so excited for your trip/babymoon x

  10. Looks like you had a wonderful weekend!!! Love your lake pictures.
FGL played at our County Fair last Summer and they were amazing, I am sure you will have a great time. We were actually in Columbus this weekend for a bachelorette party and the Fashion Meets Music Festival was going on in the Arena District and there were lots of little outdoor concerts going on and plenty of activity due to Buckeyes finally playing!!! It was definitely a good weekend in Columbus, but I would trade it any day for a day at the Lake!!!
