IF YOU DO 2 THINGS THE REST OF THIS YEAR...

1. Buy your friend, mother, sister, daughter, or even yourself (just tell everyone I ok'd it....) a locket from Origami Owl.

This past week I have been missing my Mom a lot. It usually happens around this time every year because of the holidays coming up. One thing that has always remained true for me when giving/getting gifts is that the most thoughtful of gifts are the best gifts.

When I came home to this locket in the mail, I was almost in tears because the locket has a new meaning for me and reason for me to wear it proudly. You can get one for a loved one who has lost someone in their life, or just because you like all the different charms they have (sports, family, friends..seriously everything), but either way it's personalized and I think people love that special touch. They have so many different options for charms, necklace lengths, locket colors, etc. Make it your own to wear!

Fellow blogger Kristin, who also lost her Mom and someone I really adore, just started selling them and she has been the sweetest to work with on this. I'm so happy I got one from her and will cherish this locket for a long time.

Shop the lockets here.
(if anyone is wondering-I got the medium size locket.)

2. GO SEE BREAKING DAWN PT. 2!

{one of my favorite parts}

At the risk of sounding like a 15 year old geeking out over the whole series (not too far off), the movie completely blew the others out of the water. Amazing. I don't want to say too much for those who haven't seen it yet, except that this movie was by far the best in the series (you be the judge) and I sat on the edge of my seat for the majority of the movie. Even if you didn't read the books, you would be able to follow this and it was just an overall great movie.

Also, I'm not the biggest K Stew fan (in the slightest), but she really stepped her game up this movie. Dare I say she even looked gorgeous throughout the whole thing? She really did. I'm already trying to figure out when I can see it again. I wish I were kidding.

Me sadz the series is over. tear. tear. tear....

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
We have so much going on and will be so busy, but luckily the good kind of busy.

What are your plans? Did anyone go see Breaking Dawn last night?

xo.

  4. I, too, saw the movie last night and was blown away! The entire theater seemed to share my feelings too. The movie exceeded every expectation. I do not love KStew either - but she did manage to look beautiful throughout it. Crazy - cuz I think she is homely otherwise. Definitely best of series.

BTW - what a special locket you picked out. I love that you can personalize it for your own life. Nice remembrance peace for you.

  5. I love the locket! I think it is so fun that you are having a Friendsgiving! I hope we build a community of friends here and we can start that tradition in the next year or two. My husband and two kids are celebrating this year without family (a first) but on Christmas I am making a Thanksgiving dinner when family comes. So we get to kind of make it up! I can't wait to hear the recap of it next week along with the cute little crafty ideas you put into it! :)

  9. Love the locket.. I'm checking out Origami Owl as soon as I finish this comment! I think that's a great way to remember your mom and always have her close to your heart.

And oh, Breaking Dawn. I went to the entire Twilight marathon.. all. day. long. Talk about releasing your inner-15 year old self. No shame, man, no shame. I was smiling like an idiot the WHOLE time. I love that movie more than I can even say. I've fallen in love with the characters and I'm so sad to see it all end. Battle scene?? Like.. whoaaa. Thought I was going to have a mild-heart attack!!

And Kristen... she's my girl. She didn't disappoint. She looked beautiful and nailed this whole vampire thing. But as much as I loved her as Bella, I'm the biggest fan of hers when it comes to Indie films. That's where she won me over!

I'm planning on seeing BDP2 like 264 more times. You with me?!

  19. Beautiful necklace! I haven't seen any of the Twilight films, but I really should. You know how many times I get told by friends and family how much I look like Kristen? I mean, I see it. She looks like my younger pictures (when I was her age, I suppose) but they all say it's the faces and reactions too. I really do need to check this out for myself. Every time I see her on an interview, she's so awkward, so I don't even know if it's a compliment. Anyway, hope you have a fabulous Friday and great weekend!

  25. The movie was AMAZING. It really is the best. I've been waiting for all of them to finish to buy them. I bought the first one then realized they'd all be released in a set and would wait to buy the others. I told my husband I'd probably buy them all and JUST watch this one over and over. It was such a great way to end the series. I also loved the credits and how they included BOTH Victorias. SO good. I almost cried during the fight scene. I won't say anything else in case people haven't seen it.

  26. Swooning over that locket! Such a toughtful way to keep her close to you all the time. I wish Origami Owl would ship overseas....although can probably be expensive.. Still love it!

The movie? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! honestly I didn't have high expectations but left the theatre all wowed...that battle scene? just WOW! I can't even pick my favorite scene.
The whole animatronic baby deal? meh...but Mackenzie Foy? ADORABLE!
I'm not a K Stew fan (at all) either, but I have to say she was pretty good this time around.
Over all I still loved the movie, and hubs told me we may or may not have to watch it again.... =D

P.S: Jacob.. will you marry me?...oh! Sh...t! I'm already married...never mind... Go on...stay with the weirdly named kid.
