FIVE ON FRIDAY

Hi friends! Has this week gone fast or what? I swear I meant to have a post up on Tuesday, but we've just had so much going on. It's about time we catch up... :)

ONE

The last you heard from me I mentioned I had to have an ultrasound done and I was still waiting to get the results. Well, they ended up calling me to tell me that they found 2 nodules on my thyroid that looked worrisome so they suggested getting a fine needle biopsy. I wasn't shocked when they told me but it has scared me A LOT. I mean, who wants to hear that?! And who wants a needle stuck in their neck? No one. However, I had already mentally prepared myself that something might be found simply because of how bad I've been feeling, but it was still really sad and I'm nervous as heck. Nodules can be pretty common and most turn out to be benign, however because I've been on thyroid medicine for 3 years and I've had many symptoms come on somewhat suddenly (and not being able to catch my breath at times) I truly feel something more is going on with mine. Maybe I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst possible outcome or I'm being really negative - but that's just how I feel. I actually have a consultation with the surgeon THIS morning to get more information, so I will report back next week about that.

When things happen with your health (and when you consider yourself a healthy person) it kind of changes your perspective on life a bit and forces you to re-evaluate what is really important. And even more so now that I'm a mom. I've really been in the "live everyday like its your last" mindset for the past week (even though I KNOW I will be ok and make it through this!) and just want to do what I need to do to get better again. Hoping for some answers so that this can happen. Phew...okay, onto happier things... (but thank you to those who have reached out to me and sent prayers! they mean a lot to me.)

TWO

Something making me happy is Target's BOGO 50% off Swimwear! If you have a vacation coming up or just want to be prepared for summer (or use it as workout motivation) then you better get to shopping! They have some adorable styles....my favorites being this one and this one.

THREE

I haven't shopped at Madewell very often, but I'm thinking that needs to change immediately because I recently bought this striped shirt and it is the softest shirt ever. It''ll be such a a staple for me this spring and summer. Size up one size for a more loose fit! Also, I highly recommend these adorable high rise skinny jeans (!!!) They look so cute on and I love the button detail!

FOUR

Remember how I used to take spin (cycling) class? Yeah, ME TOO...but that was like 2 years ago! I finally signed back up and am taking classes (aiming at once per week) with a girlfriend at Cycle Bar, which is only about 5 minutes from our house, and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER about it. Let's not even mention the fact that on Wednesday's they serve you wine after the class and on Sunday's they serve mimosas. Totally mad at myself for not signing earlier!

FIVE

Home updates: I just bought these x-back counter stools for our island and I love them. They go perfectly with our other decor and they're such a good price too! The crown molding is finished in the kitchen so now I'm just waiting on another set of hardware for our cabinets to come and then I'm crossing my fingers to have my kitchen pictures posted on the blog.

Also, I posted on my instastories about getting this wood wall clock for our entryway and wanted to share it here too because I had a ton of people asking where I got it. :) If you're shopping around for a wall clock, here are my other favorites:  this one, this one, this one, and this one.

Hope you guys have a great weekend!! It looks like the weather is going to be nice here after many rainy days so I'm looking forward to that!
