Grayson William: 11 Months Old

Only one more month until my second baby boy is ONE! So crazy. I hope this next month goes as slow as possible!

The biggest change this month is that we're currently transitioning Grayson off of bottles and it's going really well. He is drinking out of Nuk cups now that have a spout and the ones Camden always loved. I'm also going to start switching him to whole milk soon!

He is taking steps with the push walker toy that we have, so I don't think it'll be much longer before he's walking! The boys grow closer every single day, which obviously makes me so happy. They love to cuddle, read, and get baths together. Cam lets Grayson crawl all over him too and they think it's so funny. We all can't wait to celebrate his birthday soon-he has brought our family so much love and joy this past year!

Milestones//Special Moments: First time on the boat at the cottage // Taking steps with the help of the walker // 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom)

Weight/Height: 22-23 lbs, not sure on height

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Brown (one of my fav features-he has very expressive and sweet eyes!)

Clothes: 18-24 months

Diapers: 4's

Sleeping: 2 naps still- 1st is 9-10am, 2nd is at 12pm-3ish, I think he's been growing through a growth spurt because he's been wanting to go to bed at 6:30pm lately! (and is still sleeping until 7 or 730)

Likes: EATING // Playing hide and seek with Cam // Music // Being tickled // Shaking his head no // Giving kisses // Clapping // Crawling on us // Baths (he is always trying to stand during them now!) // Moana (this is literally one of the only movies/shows he will pay attention to) // Is more interested in books now (Brown Bear Brown Bear and Touch n' Feel books)

Dislikes: Laying on his back to have his diaper changed (too busy for that now mom) // When we take something away that he can't have

We love you immensely, Gray! Happy 11 Months!

favorite pictures this month:

and just for fun, both boys at this age :)

20 Things You May Not Know About Me

+I'm left handed.

+I drink a shot of apple cider vinegar daily before bed and I swear it helps me sleep better & keeps me healthy (not straight-mixed with warm water, some lemon juice, and tiny bit of honey.)

+I've never broken a bone.

+Ever since I was pregnant with Camden I've had hypothyroidism. I hate it.

+If a good song is on the radio I will drive around the block until it's over before going home.

+I prefer to get a facial over a massage (and am getting one this weekend-yay!), but what I really love is having my back or head scratched.

+I don't get gas until the last possible moment and it drives Billy crazy.

+If I don't have my contacts in, I can't see a foot in front of me. My eyes are terrible!

+I LOVE me some Chipotle (my order: salad with chicken, lots of tomatoes, medium salsa, cheese, guacamole (always))

+My favorite ice cream is Graeter's black raspberry chip.

+I take my YETI with me everywhere.

+I hate pink clothing. My favorite color to wear is navy or royal blue.

+I just got one of my ears re-pierced because my hole was sagging so badly that it wouldn't hold an earring anymore (was constantly falling out!)

+I have terrible knees from playing sports. They crack everytime I bend down.

+I have an amazing memory.

+I get sick on roller coasters and once threw up all over myself on one at Cedar Point.

+I also get car sick when I'm the passenger in cars, but not in SUV's.

+I want to get the boys a dog for Christmas.

+I'm always cold.

+I only own like 3 pairs of heels and I hate wearing them.

Would love for you to tell me something about yourself in the comments!! :)

Weekend Recap // Currently

Happy Monday friends! So much to say, so little time!

Let's start with this past weekend....

A trip to our favorite farmers market + out to eat at our favorite restaurant + cook out with my parents + haircut for Cam! The weather was a little too chilly (low 70''s) for the pool, but the kids still had so much fun and kept busy. I get asked a lot how we go out to eat so often with the boys, and my answer is we always go EARLY and we order for them the second we sit down! We typically go around 5 so that they aren't starving or tired and they typically do really well. We also sit outside whenever possible since Cam can be loud sometimes and loves talk to everyone that walks by. Funny story-he saw some older boys and yelled at them "bye boys, love you!" as they walked passed him! It was so cute! He's been doing that a lot lately everywhere we go...at the grocery store he will chat it up with anyone and is always talking to the other kids and saying he loves them, ha! Anyway... this weekend I also squeezed in a solo shopping trip to Marshalls and found some cute asleisure tops and this adorable black gingham top (it was only $19!)

(shorts are from here and only $24, super comfy!)

And in an effort to catch up with you guys a little bit, here's a little bit of what else has been going on lately...

Planning: In the thick of planning Grayson's FIRST birthday party! I don't think I've mentioned it a lot on here (maybe once?), but we're doing a "Little Blue Truck" Theme and I'm doing lots of royal blue gingham and touches of yellow. We're having it at our house in our backyard, so I'm excited about that since Camden's birthday is in the winter and has to be inside (sidenote: I LOVE having 1 winter baby and 1 summer baby.) I just got his highchair banner in the mail the other day and had to share because I'm so obsessed with it....

is that not precious? This theme might be my favorite so far. The banner is from HERE! She has lots of other party themes too!

Also...about the fact that Grayson is turning one. I'm having a much harder time with it than I ever thought..I'm actually pretty emotional about it, if I'm being completely honest. He is the absolute cutest right now (so sweet, such a mama's boy, the chubby thighs, his giggles, how he struts when he crawls..I could go on and on) and I want him to stay little. It's not that I don't enjoy them getting older because I love witnessing them learn, grow, talk more, etc. but I just really LOVE this age and feel like the year went way too fast. It actually really makes me want to have another baby, but I'm just really not ready to be pregnant again right now.

Favorite beauty product: I've found my all-time fav mascara (finally) and it blows all the others I've tried out of the water. I will never use another...it is worth EVERY penny!

Complaining about: Bedtime with Camden right now is a struggle. He is still sleeping great in his big boy bed, but he is just taking SOOO long to fall asleep. I seem to be losing my patience with him so quickly because he only seems to go to bed if I'm the one putting him to bed, and even then it's taking a good 45 minutes-1 hour to fall asleep. And it's not like he's just sitting in bed quietly during this time...he's trying to open his dresser drawers, climb up onto the window (true story), take things out of his closet, etc. We've tried pushing back his bedtime, but he still takes long to fall asleep and then he doesn't sleep in any later so then he's cranky the next day so that plan doesn't work. Hoping it gets better soon!

Loving: my popsocket for my phone! Not a lot of my friends have them, but I've got some of them hooked now. Get yourself one, girls!

Recent Purchases

ARE THESE NOT THE CUTEST! You guys know I'm a huge Nike fan and these are at the top of my favorites list. I'm telling you to buy these, girls! I have had them less than a week and get compliments/asked about them everywhere I go. I have pictures of me wearing them on my snapchat right now if you want to see them! The colors are too good. (They run true to size and are also available here in other colors. These turquoise ones are pretty sweet too!)

Adidas has made it's comeback...loving this tank top and this hat I bought (I'm on a big hat kick recently. This style is a mens hat but it works for women too..I love it! I also bought this Patagonia one for my trip to Colorado!)

Striped Ruffle Romper (currently 40% OFF!!)

One Shoulder Romper (also 40% off)

(these are some of my most worn sandals! they are so comfy and I think I need the WHITE pair!)

(only $34-perfect for wearing underneath a lightweight jacket!)

Also...totally not clothing related but still a big purchase...we booked tickets to go to San Francisco in September for an anniversary trip!! We've only been once before and fell in love with the city, so we are super excited to go back! If any of you have hotel recommendations or great brunch or dinner spots, I would LOVE to hear them! Alright, I think that's it! Have a good day y'all!

Father's Day Weekend At The Lake

A sign of a really fulfilling weekend is always how hard it is to keep my eyes open come 7pm on a Sunday night...am I right?! I don't know how I've managed to even type out a sentence here on this keyboard right now, but I just had to get up a Father's Day post.

Billy's request for Father's Day weekend was to spend it at his favorite spot on Catawba Island boating, fishing, and relaxing with the kids and his family. He's in his true element there, so I was happy to pack up the kids (which felt like it took days to do and we may have packed the entire house for a short 3 days but #worthit) and head there on Friday!

(this one didn't drive us there, despite what it may look like.. ;)

And to no one's surprise at all, we had the best time.

Camden caught his first fish (with the help of his grandpa) and was obsessed with riding in the golf cart, on the boat, playing at the beach area. He had the time of his life, especially since his aunt and uncle brought him a new huge ball + inflatable basketball hoop for the pool. Grayson got to go on his very first boat ride, too! He wasn't sure what to think at first (I think more so of the life jacket that was weighing him down ha), but was all smiles and happy as a clam the entire weekend, no matter where we were or what we did. Also, he shocked us all this weekend when he decided to say "night night!" It was so cute!

If there's one thing in this world that I know to be 100% true, it's that my boys are so beyond blessed to have Billy as their Daddy. He truly gives us his all day in and day out, and rarely asks for anything in return. He puts the boys first and is always making them laugh or showing them love. The boys light up when he walks in the door. He is always so patient and kind and I am so thankful for everything he does for our family and the type of father he is!

And also I have to wish my own Dad a Happy Father's Day as well. He is basically a best friend to me and has always been my hero, role model, and #1 supporter. I don't know what I would do without him and the lessons he has taught me!

Dad's definitely don't have it easy so if any of you reading are one, thank you for what you do! :)

Denver Recap

Hey guys! Yesterday I got home from spending 4 glorious days in Denver! I went to visit my cousin, Natasha, and stayed with her and her husband. As hard as it is leaving my boys, it was so nice to have this time to myself. This was my second time visiting Denver and I think I fell in love with it even more than the first time I visited (you can read my other 2 recaps here and here)...it is just so gorgeous there with the mountains! There is not much to dislike about the city and if we were to ever move out west, I would definitely want it to be here.

After eating out for almost every single meal, we were joking how badly we now need to detox but at the same time we had THE most delicious food everywhere we went! On my last trip we made the drive out to Vail, so this time we stayed more in Denver for the majority of the time but spent a day going to Rocky Mountain National Park (which was my absolute favorite day of the trip!)

Rocky Mountain National Park has been on my bucket list for years. We went at the most perfect time too because the weather was beautiful (about 90 in Denver but there in the mountains it was around 65/67), it had just snowed so the mountains were covered, and we were able to see so many animals! The pictures are gorgeous, but really don't do the views justice. It was just breathtaking and I'm already dying to get back to the mountains to see it all over again! You are about to get picture OVERLOAD here...

(we were so close to all these elk, it was slighty scary but so cool at the same time!)
 (making it to the top!)
 (the wind was INSANEEEE)

On our way to RMNP we also stopped at Grand Lake to walk around, explore some shops, and get lunch (we had the most delicious mexican lunch at Pacifico..if you go you must get their burritos!) And on the way home from RMNP we stopped in Estes Park to have a few cocktails before heading back to Denver! It was such a fun day.

As for everywhere we went in Denver, I will just go ahead and list the places we ate at and share the pictures! All of these places I HIGHLY recommend going to if you plan to visit Denver. If you have any specific questions about traveling there or one of these places, feel free to email me!

Restaurants//Bars:
+Sassafras (brunch-their mimosas are so good)
+Snooze (didn't eat here this trip but went on the last one and loved it)
+Alehouse (good craft brews and rooftop view and our food was amazing!)

+Viewhouse (rooftop views)

+Recess (beer garden)

+Denver Beer Co.

Things To See // Do:
+Larimer Square
+Red Rocks
+Union Station
+RiNo (River North Art District...we went to a ton of breweries here)

Like I mentioned above, we saw/did a lot of other things on my first visit to Denver so if you're looking for more ideas on where to eat/what to do go HERE! :)
