5 Things I'm Doing To Lose The Baby Weight

Now that Grayson is 2 months old, it's officially "go time" for me to lose the last of this baby weight. Recovering from childbirth isn't easy, but what's even harder is getting rid of the excess belly fat. You have to essentially start all over and wake up those abdominal muscles again!

Here are 5 things I'm doing to try to get back to my prepregnancy bod:

1) NO SNACKING OR EATING AFTER 9PM.

This is harder than it seems when you have two kiddos because sometimes dinner is late after they are already in bed. Typically once they're in bed and I'm relaxing, I'll have the urge to want to eat something sweet or snack on a bunch of crackers but sticking to this is important. I need to be snacking smarter, which means not eating empty-calorie foods like Camden's goldfish on the daily, especially at night.

2) INCREASE MY WATER INTAKE.

During pregnancy it's essential to increase your water intake, but it's much harder to keep it up after you have the baby. When you have young little ones at home to take care of, you tend to put yourself last. Some days I'll look at the clock and it'll be noon and I'll realize I've only had one glass of water so far (and sometimes I will forget to eat lunch completely -- no more of this!)

3) WORKOUT DURING KIDS NAP TIME OR BEDTIME.

This is the perfect time to get in a workout, even if it's so tempting to get other things done at this time. I've been making it a priority to get on the treadmill if they're both asleep at the same time, or to go for a run outside once Billy is home from work and Camden is in bed. Even if it's only for 20 minutes - it counts and I feel so much better after I do it.

4) CUT DOWN ON THE STARBUCKS.

...and any other fancy drinks that are packed with sugar. I say cut down because I don't want to give up my Starbucks completely (hello -- this mama needs a caffeine boost here and there!), but I can't be drinking them as often as I've been getting them lately. I want to aim for just 2 times per week.

5) FOCUS ON MY CORE.

After having a baby, you have to completely build back your core. It's the area I need to work on the most, so focusing on and committing to core exercises (like side planks, dumbbell side bends, russian twists, leg raises, flutter kicks, etc.) is going to be the most beneficial and give me the best results.

Not on the list but I think is equally as important is taking time for myself and getting enough sleep!

What did you do to get back to your prepregnancy weight? Share with me what worked best for you! And of course, wish me luck! :)

6 Things I'm Excited About

-ONE-

If you haven't heard the good news yet, IT Cosmetics is now available online and in store at SEPHORA! Happy happy dance! Beyond excited about this. My entire skin and make up routine consists of IT products. I swear by their CC cream.

Currently they have nine exclusives at Sephora, which are apart of their IT Cosmetics™ Color-Infused Skincare™ line. I plan to do a review on a lot of these products soon, but I did want to share the ones that are now available at Sephora:

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup™ 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm; $38 (This balm is SO GOOD! It's a cleanser, makeup remover, and anti-aging serum in one. )

The makeup melting balm and under eye cream are honestly amazing. The skin perfecting brush makes foundation go on perfectly. IT is killing it with these products!

-TWO-

(a) Camden starts "school" tomorrow! I seriously feel like I'm sending him off to college in way...ha!

He has been in in-home care with a nanny (who we love and Grayson will still be going to her) since he was 13 weeks old, but now that he is almost 2 he really needs more structure and we think he will thrive in more of a classroom setting! I toured a bunch of early preschools and daycare's the past few weeks (which is another reason why my blog took a backseat-I have been so busy with this) before finding the one we decided on. Although change is hard and I'm a little nervous, we are really excited about it because we know he is going to learn so much and we think he will love it! It's also only a mile from my work and within 5 minutes from our nanny so it's location is super convenient. We got him a little backpack and I've been reading this book from his favorite series to him in preparation. :) First day of school pictures most likely coming soon...

(b) Watching my boys relationship grow...Camden is just obsessed with Grayson. He wakes up in the morning and asks for "baby", and tells him he loves him before he goes to bed at night. I honestly can't describe how happy these two boys make me...I just feel so lucky to be their Mom.

-THREE-

I have been using Octer (a new to me website) when shopping online lately. It is a unique marketplace of the biggest US stores where you can shop departments or shop by store. I like it because it compares thousands of brands and shows the nearest matches, so you'll always get the perfect price and possibly discover products from stores you hadn’t considered before.

I just got this adorable cable knit sweater and hat set for Grayson by ordering through Octer...

-FOUR-

FOOTBALL SEASON! This gives me a great excuse to whip up some yummy game day food. Crock pot meals, chips and dip, and football games kind of just go together...am I right? The only other thing I need is a fall scented candle burning and then I total fit the description of basic.

I made sausage dip the other week and served with tortilla chips. It's my favorite dip recipe because it's so easy and everyone loves it! It's just white velveeta cheese, 1 lb. of Jimmy Dean sausage, and a can of Rotel!

-FIVE-

Have you seen Jack Rogers new rain boots? They come in a bunch of cute colors and I need them...

 shop them all here

Oh, and these Nike shoes...perfect for athleisure wear and for fall/winter!

The new series This Is Us. Who else is watching??

PS: Grayson is TWO months old today! Post coming this week after his doctors appointment!

Take Care of Your Skin with Garnier SkinActive® Clearly Brighter™ {+Giveaway!}

Happy Monday! I really hate to say this but my skin has definitely suffered after being pregnant for nearly two years in a row. With both pregnancies I failed to properly take care of it (out of pure laziness) and I was unable to use some products in my cabinet that I was used to using due to the ingredients. Now, I'm left with an uneven skin tone and some pesky melasma spots that I knew had to be my focus once I had Grayson. I wanted to make it a priority to myself to get my skin in tip-top condition again.

For the past month I've been using two products to help brighten my skin and make it look healthier. I didn't have success with the first one (Neutrogena's Visibly Even Moisturizer), but I did want to share the one I'm still using and finding the best results with, which is Garnier SkinActive® Clearly Brighter™ Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF 15.

Garnier SkinActive® is a brand that I've used for years and I've loved many of their products so I was excited to try this. I've been using this moisturizer every morning and within a week I noticed a difference in my skin. It claims to even out tone and texture for brighter, smoother skin and it did just that. My skin has felt so much more hydrayed. healthier, and it's oil-free formula so I don't have to worry about breaking out. My melasma and dark spots are fading away so I know that by continuing to use this product these trouble areas will look even better. Another reason why I love this moisturizer is because it has antioxidant Vitamin C in it, which is so beneficial for your skin.

For a mom that has very little time to take care of herself, using this product has been simple enough to give me results I want without breaking the bank. Highly, highly recommend you give it a try if you've been neglecting your skin like me!

You can find this moisturizer at Target, Walmart, Amazon, CVS, Rite Aid, etc! Head on over to Garnier SkinActive®'s website, FacebookTwitterPinterestInstagramYouTube, and Google+ to learn more about their products.

Top 3 Fall Recipes

Happy Fall!

While I'm sad to see summer go, I welcome fall with open arms because it means I can make these three recipes whenever I want and not be judged for it. What would make fall even better is if winter didn't come right after it, but hey let's not think about that right now.

These are some of my absolute favorite things to make this time of year and they're incredibly easy, too.

1. APPLE PIE APPLES
(because hello...apple.pie.apples. Enough said)

 full post here

What You Need:
-2 apples (or 1 per person; we used Honeycrisp but you can use your favorite type)
-1 Can Apple Pie Filling
-1 Pie Crust
-Cinnamon
-Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)

Instructions:
1. Cut the tops off your apples and scoop out the insides with a knife or spoon.
2. In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon (or more-whatever suits your tastes!) cinnamon in with the can of apple pie filling, then fill the mixture in the apples.
3. Unroll 1 pie crust, cut into fourths, then cut into small strips. Lay 3 strips horizontally on top of the apple, then weave 3 vertical strips in and out to go on top. Cut the edges off around the apple.
4. Bake in a baking dish filled with 1/2 cup water in the bottom at 375-400 degrees for 25-30 minutes!

2. APPLE CHIPS
full post here

3. PUMPKIN PIE YOGURT DOTS
(a recipe for your little ones!)
full post here

What You Need:
+Vanilla Greek Yogurt (one of the single containers)
+Pumpkin Puree
+Pumpkin Pie Spice, optional
+Sweetener, optional

Instructions:
+Pour an individual cup of greek yogurt into a bowl. Use the same cup to measure 1/2 full of pumpkin puree. Add 1/8 tsp of pumpkin pie spice and your desired amount of sweetener and mix all of it together with a spoon. Transfer mixture into a large zip lock bag (cut one of the bottom corners off so that you can easily make "drops") and drop small amounts onto a sheet of parchment paper. Freeze for 20 minutes. Use a resealable container for leftovers!

Enjoy!

Camden's Quirks + 20 Months Old

20 months old...how did we get here so quickly?

I look back to pictures and videos of Camden just from a few months ago and am honestly shocked at how much he's grown (and learned) since then. Everyone warned me I would feel this way once Grayson came along. In a few months, which I'm sure will feel like weeks, he will be TWO!! He's developing his own little (or big) personality and is constantly surprising us with how much he's learning and picking up on a daily basis. But don't get me wrong, it's also a really challenging age too as the tantrums are already in full force and he wants to be on the go pretty much all the time. It's an exhausting type of love I've never experienced before that I wouldn't change for the world, even on the hard days.

I wanted to share some highlights from the past couple of months...

Milestones:
-talking up a storm, can repeat almost any word we ask him to. His favorite words to say right now are: vitamin (loves asking for these every morning), uh-oh, ball (still), buckeyes!, shoes, shoot (when shooting baskets in his basketball hoop), baby (absolutely loves greeting his brother every morning and says this about 20 times per day, ha), papa (for grandpa)
-says I love you now (ugh-best thing my ears have EVER hear-sounds more like rub ew)
-can say most of his colors, still working on some
-can identify colors (his first one was blue!)
-became a big brother! Can't stress enough how proud we are of him. He is so loving towards Grayson and we've only had a handful of times where we really have to watch how rough he is with him. One time he tried sitting on Grayson because he wanted to hug him, but besides that he is very gentle towards him.
-COMPLETELY done with his pacifiers...he was only getting it in his crib for naps/bedtime but he started biting through them so we used that as a way to say "uh oh-it's broke!" and that he's a big boy now and doesn't need them anymore. He whined one night for it (but he's also cutting teeth so not sure if it was because of that or because he missed paci) but that was it! So proud of him!
-getting his bottom two incisor teeth
-was in his first wedding and did such a good job being the ring bearer
-got his first boo-boo's/accident (in the bike trailer...which won't be used again...sad face)
-got hand foot mouth this past month (it was a pretty mild case but sucked!)
-first pony ride at the zoo!

Camden's Quirks:
-Whenever we pass a basketball hoop in our neighborhood he has to point and yell "ball!" at EVERY single one
-loves to be tucked into bed, he lays his head on my shoulder while I sing to him then we tuck him in tight with a blanket and he thinks it's hilarious
-he HAS to have his milk the second he comes downstairs in the morning
-his obsession with his vitamins. anytime I open the cabinet that has them in them he says "vitamins! vitamins!"
-he loves to jump on and off anything
-how he quizzes me when reading books, he will point to different things and want me to name them (just like I do to him!)
-when he yells hi on walks to everyone that passes
-how much he loves his brother (he's always looking for him/wanting to touch him!)
-his "fish face" (he scrunches up his face and puts his lips together like a fish)
-he says "no no no no no" back to us in the most sassy way

And all of this makes me realize how much of a little toddler he is now....big sigh!

Love you, our handsome Cam!

CURRENTLY...

Currently I'm...

THINKING: That it's hard to believe I'm writing this after my first day back to work (part-time) after having 8 weeks off for maternity leave. The days and weeks when you're in the midst of them seem to go pretty slowly (where many I was like, is Daddy home from work yet? as 5pm approached), and then all of a sudden I'm a working mom again tearing up because I have to be away from my babies.  Grayson's newborn days are slowly creeping away from us and I'm not liking it (or being away from him) one bit. At least when it comes to Camden I know he is OK without me, but I haven't had to be away from Grayson yet so it's going to be difficult having so much less time with him when he's so little.

However, I know going back to work part time is whats best because I crave having a work environment to go to and having conversations that don't involve colors, numbers, or talking in a baby voice. I give SAHM's so much credit because it is not easy at all staying home with your kids, especially when you have 2 under 2. It's actually way more exhausting than my "real" job. Doesn't mean I won't be constantly staring at their pictures and missing them every minute those days that I am at work, of course.

USING: Just got my new phone case (posted about it on my last post) and am rather obsessed with it..

THANKFUL FOR: All the fun we had this past weekend! My brother in law and his wife came into town to visit and we took Camden apple picking for the first time at Orchard and Co. Camden is smitten with the both of them, it is so sweet. The orchard had a bunch of kid activities that kept him (and us) entertained and of course he ate bites out of about 6 different apples before leaving. It was so incredibly windy, but we managed to get a semi decent family picture even with completely wind blown hair and clothes.

(trying pumpkin donuts for the first time...I think he would have ate 2 or 3 full ones if we let him)

I now have about 15 apples at home to cook with, so if you have any favorite recipes please send them my way!

Then, on Sunday my parents babysat the boys so that me and Billy could have a day date together. It was the last day for the Parade of Homes so we decided to grab lunch first and head on over to check it out. They had 16 swoon-worthy homes to take tours through, aka to completely lust after. I loved seeing how each home was decorated and decided I need a wine/coffee nook in our next home..

(loved these shelves but seriously Camden would have a field day throwing everything off of them..)

LOVING: far too much (as usual..) this top (currently $39!),  this gorgeous Macbook case, these booties! (LOVE the black color too!) This green anorak jacket I'm lusting after, too.

LOOKING FORWARD TO: Really looking forward to Halloween and dressing the kids up! Also, going to Texas in November to visit Steph! (so excited!)

OVER: My phone running out of storage space what feels like WEEKLY! #eyerollemojihere

Happy Tuesday friends!!

Recent Purchases/Currently Loving

Can't stop, won't stop shopping all these great deals. I'm mildly obsessed with all of these items girls. I've purchased almost all of them (hey, they are either on sale or very inexpensive) recently except for the sleeveless sweater, and I've been wearing them so much.

This phone case is the cheapest one I've found with the marble finish..it's super cute! As for all the shirts that are BP brand-I recommend sizing down because they tend to run big. The knot front sweater I got in a medium.

June & Hudson Front Knot Sweater (also comes in black)
BP Southwestern Scarf (posted a picture of this on my snapchat!)
Lush Cross Front Tee (3 other colors, $29)
Happy Plugs Phone Case
BP Rib Knit Tank (only $40, also comes in gray)
BP Long Sleeve Sweater
Super Skinny Jeans (one of my fav pairs of destroyed jeans! Size down a size)
BP Burnout Tee ($22!)

Also, from here on out my plan is to also show a lot of my recent purchases and favorites on my snapchat and instagram accounts! I will link to the items and you can just screenshots the images then copy and paste them into your browser. It also makes it easy because you can ask me questions (like sizing and such) on there and it's really easy for me to respond so make sure you're following me on both of those accounts (username: katiewkrysh)

Happy shopping!

A Day In The Life

Hola friends! Today I wanted to share a little day in the life with 2 kids under 2.

Let me preface this by saying that not pictured in this post are the mini meltdowns that Camden has from time to time (I'm such a bad mom for not allowing him to throw balls at our tv...), our kitchen countertops that have dirty dishes on them, things that are thrown during the times that I feed the baby or pump, and the crazy amount of diapers that I change. That being said, the transition from 1 to 2 kids has been really smooth for us, and there is nothing I love more than being home with my two boys and spending time with them!

Our daily routine (Camden 20 months old, Grayson 7 weeks old)-

630-7am: feed Grayson whenever he wakes up. He currently wakes once in the middle of the night to eat, around 3 or 4am (so good I know-so thankful!), and then normally he's up around 630 or 7. He currently eats every 3 hours during the day. When he wakes a little before 7 it's nice because it gives me a chance to get him fed before Camden is up (he wakes at 7 but is normally content in his crib until 715-730.) It's easier right now to do it this way because I like being able to get Camden up and sit with him in the mornings too so this way I'm able to help both of them. There are mornings though that Billy will give the baby a bottle in the morning to give me a break and I will either get ready for the day, or get Camden up during that time.

One thing I learned early on was that I have to get myself ready for the day before Billy leaves for work otherwise I just don't have the time to do it and I look like a hot mess in public. I like to get out of the house at least once per day with them (so Camden can burn off some energy and because I prefer getting out and doing something) so this way I can get it done pretty quickly and I'm ready for when we decide to leave. (PS-A lot of people have asked me how I get out of the house so much early on. I typically leave right after Grayson is fed so that he is content on the go and will most likely nap. It also gives us the most time to be out and about before he wants to eat again.)

After Grayson is fed, I put him back in the rock and play (that he currently sleeps in during the day and at night) to go back to bed for a bit. Now that he's getting older he can stay awake longer so sometimes I'll leave him up for a bit before putting him back down.

7-730: Get Camden out of his crib, change his clothes, and bring him downstairs for milk and breakfast. I still like to sit with him when he gets his milk so we cuddle on the couch for a bit. Billy takes Camden for a ride in the wagon while taking Rocky out for a little walk.

8: Camden eats breakfast. This changes but is normally eggs, half a bagel, and some fruit. His fav! Grayson is either sleeping or if he's awake I will put him on the newborn lounger pillow on the table to sit with us while Camden eats.

830-930: Grayson sleeps and I play with Camden one on one. We do puzzles, read books, or sit outside on the deck and play with his toys.

9:30 or 10: Feed Grayson. Cam will either play on his own at this time, come sit by me on the couch, and then other times I will have to put an episode of Mickey Mouse on so that he doesn't destroy our house in the meantime. :) I wish I had some magical answer on how I occupy him when I feed the baby, but I don't! Turning on his favorite show isn't the best answer, but it gives me the time I need to get the baby fed and he is content.

10-1130 or 12: Grayson gets some tummy time in and then this is normally when we will leave the house and go to the park, run errands, go to the mall, etc. Grayson naps on the go for the majority of the time.

12-1230: Camden eats lunch. He eats 75% of it and the other 25% is given to Rocky. He may even throw some. Definitely going through that phase right now (SO FUN!) Grayson eats around this time too, so sometimes I am literally feeding Camden with one hand while feeding Grayson a bottle with the other hand. Oh, and sometimes I may even feed myself during this time too. Multi-tasking has taken on a whole new meaning lately!

1230-3: Camden naps and the nap time hustle for me begins! I literally bounce around the house trying to pick up things, clean, check emails, eat lunch myself if I didn't earlier (usually in 2 minutes), or relax on the couch for a bit. There are definitely days where I choose to just sit my butt on the couch and cuddle up with Grayson while he naps. It's nice that Grayson does nap when Camden does (at least an hour or so) because having that little break to myself is much needed!

3: Camden wakes up and I give him a snack while I feed Grayson.

330-530: More play time for Camden. Grayson does tummy time before taking another nap. We typically go on a walk around the neighborhood at this time before Grayson naps, or walk over to our neighborhood park.

530: The craziest part of the day begins! I feed Camden dinner and immediately feed Grayson because he likes to eat at this time as well. Billy isn't home from work yet and both the boys are getting tired / more fussy, and of course Rocky loves to act up around this time as well so sometimes I enjoy a nice glass of wine at this time too.

6: Play with both boys and Billy gets home from work around this time or around 615. Billy will give Camden his bath and do his bedtime routine, or hang out with the baby depending on the day. We like to switch on and off who does Camden's bedtime routine and who spends time with the baby. Grayson usually takes his last nap of the day (a short one) around 630 so we both read a couple books/play with Camden a bit before he goes to bed. Once Grayson is a little older, we plan to give them baths and do their bedtime routine together but this works for us for now!

7: Camden gets his teeth brushed, tucked in, and is in bed for the night. Grayson naps until around 8. This is when me and Billy usually eat dinner, which lately is something really quick that I can throw together in a matter of 15 minutes. I've been also trying to workout / go for a run outside at this time. Sometimes if Billy gets home earlier we will eat as a family, but that's rare because Billy works late.

8: Grayson's bedtime routine (which is pretty much just bath, pajamas, bottle, swaddle) then put in his rock and play to go to sleep for the night. We just lay him down and he normally is asleep pretty quickly. He does really well taking naps/going to bed on his own, so we don't ever have to rock him. Some nights I crave that extra alone time with him so I will just hold him for a while while he sleeps while I'm watching tv.

9-1030: Relax with Billy / blog / or fall asleep early on the couch. Typically we're in bed by 1030 for the night. #old #tired #worthit :)

And then it starts all over again the next morning! Our days can be exhausting (I'm exhausted just typing this out...), but it is so worth it and every week it seems to get a little bit easier. If there is one suggestion that I have for those of you reading who might be pregnant with #2 or will be trying soon, it would be to keep your first child's schedule or routine the same when you're on maternity leave. We are so glad we still sent Camden to his nanny's two days per week because we know he truly loves going there (plus the social interaction), and since bringing home a baby is a big enough transition in itself we didn't want to change something else for him. He has transitioned really well and those 2 days that I have had alone with Grayson are literally everything!

All of this will soon be changing since my maternity leave is over next week (boo!) but I'm still just working part time so I will have 2 days at home with them. It's honestly the perfect balance for me because I do enjoy getting out of the house and having a work life too.

Alright, I think that covers way more than you all cared to know. If anyone has any other questions, feel free to comment below or email them to me! Happy hump day!

Supplements During Pregnancy

I've always been one of those people that take their vitamins religiously every single morning, especially during my past two pregnancies. I'm also one of those people that forces their husband to take his before walking out the door for work (because I'm willing to bet he probably wouldn't remember to take them otherwise), and of course the mom that hopes her toddler will continue thinking they are the coolest treat (I give Cam these vitamins-they are the best) to have after breakfast.

Because I've gotten a ton of questions in the past, today I wanted to share what supplements I take during pregnancy aside from my prenatal vitamins. If you're planning on becoming pregnant, consider adding these into your daily routine:

+DHA omega-3: life’sDHA® is a high-quality vegetarian source of DHA omega-3 sourced from algaewhich has proven brain, eye and heart health benefits throughout life. DHA omega-3 is best known for supporting brain and eye health throughout life.
Why are they important for pregnant women? Because DHA is a building block of a baby’s brain. life’sDHA® is an ingredient in many different foods, beverages, and supplements so look for the life'sDHA® logo to know you're getting a vegetarian source! (you can learn more about what makes it awesome here)
+Calcium and Magnesium: Believe it or not, most prenatal vitamins at your grocery store don't have enough calcium that pregnant women need. I make sure to supplement with at least 250mg, but you could also ask your doctor how much more you need depending on how much is in the prenatal you take.
+Vitamin D: Because clearly living in Ohio isn't giving me enough of this. #winterproblems
During pregnancy (or if you're planning to become pregnant) it's even more important to make sure you're getting these key nutrients for proper growth and development, so DON'T skip them ladies! Also, please remember I'm not a doctor, just sharing what mine has told me and what works for me!
This post sponsor – life’sDHA® - educated me on the importance of nutrients – including DHA omega-3 – for all stages of life.

Transitioning To Fall: Cardigans, Booties, and Scarves

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a fun Labor Day weekend!

I can't complain about ours because it involved college football, hearing Camden say "wub you!" and "go buckeyes!" for the first time (probably the highlight), beautiful weather, and extra time spent with family. I also got a chance to go see Bad Moms with some girlfriends which was super fun + hilarious! I don't think I stopped laughing the entire movie.

It's been too long since I've done a fashion related post and I've really missed sharing about my favorite style finds! Cute clothes and good deals are two of my favorite things, especially now that I can actually wear cute clothes again. Sorry maternity clothes, I do not miss you one bit.

Plus, I know not everyone who reads my blog wants to see pictures of my kids 24/7, so from now on I'm going to do a better job of mixing it up and getting back to more style posts. I feel like now that Grayson is 6 weeks old, life with 2 is getting even easier so my posts will be more consistent!

Today I'm starting with things that will be perfect to wear when transitioning into fall. When I'm wanting to wear some pre-fall looks, I reach for lightweight cardigans and blouses, booties, and scarves. Here are some really cute and affordable options that I love...

Tops

Untitled #86

Topshop Plaid Shirt // Lush Woven Tunic // ASTR Sleeveless Cowl Neck Tunic // Bobeau Long Cardigan (tons of other colors) // Caslon Drape Terry Jacket (my fav!) // Mossimo Blouse (bought this one the other day-super cute)

Booties

Untitled #88

Jack Rogers Bailey Bootie (LOVE these-multiple colors) // Vince Camuto Lace-Up Sandal (Vince shoes always hold up so well for me-these are the cutest) // Jessica Simpson Tandra Bootie (under $100)

Scarves
Untitled #87

Ahh, these make me a little excited for fall to be here. Emphasis on the little. :)

Happy Thursday!

Grayson: 1 Month Old

Weight: 10 lbs 1 oz. (Camden was only 8 lbs 12 oz!)

Height: 22 inches

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Blue

Clothes: Completely out of newborn and in 0-3 or 3 month for Carters stuff

Diapers: Size 1

Sleeping: He goes to bed around 8/830 and normally wakes up once around 2-3 to feed then goes back to bed until 630ish! I really hope he continues to sleep this well! He naps really well on the go too, which is nice since we are out and about a lot. When we're at home, we swaddle him for both naps and night sleep!

Likes: We think he likes getting baths so far since there's been no tears or screaming-success! He loves the rock and play, sleeping on my chest, and tummy time until he's had enough and I've made him do it for too long. :)

Dislikes: Waiting to be fed and having gas

Eating: Every 3 hours during the day and then the longer stretches at night. We recently switched to bottle feeding him, and he takes one just fine! He does spit up a lot sometimes though so we go through a good amount of clothes and burp cloths...

Milestones: I got my first smile out of him the other day (8/31) which was awesome. He has held his head up really well since he was born (seriously-the nurses were commenting on it!) and has strong little legs - he's always kicking them just like Camden did.

We adore his sweet demeanor and how chill he is! He hardly ever cries and is just a very content little boy. Even when big brother tries to love on him a little TOO hard and practically smashes/sits on him. ha. We can tell already how much Cam loves him...he's always trying to kiss him, give him his paci, or share his balls with him. Happy 1 month, baby G! We love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow over the next year!
