Newborn Pictures

Good morning!

Sorry for the overabundance of baby posts, you guys. I promise not every week will be like this!

But today we (or maybe just myself) can ooh and aah over my son's newborn pictures. :) Towards the end of my pregnancy I went back and forth between deciding if I wanted to book a session or not. I thought I might be able to get some decent shots on my own with my DSLR, but ultimately decided to hire a professional (Patti Rose Photography to be exact-for all you Columbus gals!)

And yeah...there is no way I could've gotten any of these shots on my own! Best decision I made was to book it! All the effort and patience that goes into getting one good shot of a baby is seriously insane. Patti did the most amazing job.

You can't put a price on these pictures...that's how much we love them. They were taken when Camden was just 9 days old and mean the world to us.

Below = lots of wrinkles and adorableness, so proceed with caution if you don't want to end up with a bad case of baby fever...

{omg-these wrinkles!}

Luckily Cam cooperated for most of this 4 hour session (yes-FOUR hours) so we got some really great shots!!

Aaaannnnddd now I'm off to be a crazy mom and stare at these some more // order 1,001 copies...which are your favorites?! Which should I print? Help me decide!

  3. These are gorgeous. One of the first things I did was have newborn photos made into a Shutterfly book for the coffee table :) I have to ask if you got pooped on during the photo session...because I totally did. Arm and floor! haha

  4. First of all, NEVER apologize for an abundance of baby posts when your kid is this cute. :) Second of all, OMG! These are so precious and trust me when I say in over two years you'll still be a crazy mom who stares at the newborn photos...not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.

  6. Omg theses photos are absolutely breathtaking and makes me so excited!! I went back and forth on wanting to do them as well but bit the bullet and got them booked. Totally looking forward to it after seeing these. We have been offered a free Fresh 48 session which is where a photographer comes in and does hospital photos to capture those first precious moments. Now that you have gone through labor and being in the hospital, would you recommend that? It's free so hard to pass up but not sure how we will feel about having a photographer come in while in the hospital. Camden is such a stud, btw :) You're doing great mama!

  16. Those are awesome! Beckett stayed awake 3 hours during his (he had never stayed awake for 3 hours before), so most of ours were "what we could get." I love yours!

  19. Love them! Great minds think alike...I posted our newborn pictures today too! :) I love the close up in the basket where he looks like he is smiling, right before the ones with his name in the blocks. And the one with you in it looks so peaceful. Isn't it amazing how long it takes to get some good pictures?!

  23. Kay, can I have one now? Gah. Those photos are amazing! I think your warning about baby fever should be bigger and maybe in capitals with underlining and a flashing neon sign. Yep. That should do it.
