LOVELY LITTLE THINGS {HINT: GIVEAWAY}

 Friday, Friday, Friday!
Who's up for celebrating this awesomeness with me?
I am. Party of 1.

I celebrated by getting Starbucks this morning. I know that sounds lame, but since I've been trying to eat clean (the greasy fair foods and pizza we've had I'm just blocking out of my memory) I'm limiting my coffee intake to just Friday's. I actually feel a lot better when I do this..but that's not fun to talk about so just forget I said it.

Alright- so I have to tell you guys...I want to just jump up and down because I'm so thankful for everyone who linked up with us yesterday. I'm so glad we did this and am wondering why I've never done a link-up before. Something about not knowing how to make a button or the code box below it - I'm not sure (ps-thanks Whitney for that). I urge you all to visit those who linked up because there are some bomb.com projects and recipes to look at and admire! Also, some of you only linked up on Steph's page and not my page (and vice versa), but you can link it up to both of ours if you want. Next week, I think we will have it figured out so that if you link on one of ours, it will automatically show up on both.

Today I'm off to stalk all of our local Halloween stores to try and find certain parts to a Halloween costume that I'm thinking about wearing to a party (Steph actually gave me the idea - thanks lover muffin). If I can find it, then we will probably go to my girlfriends Halloween party on Saturday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? As most of you know, Billy and I take Halloween very seriously (especially Billy), so hopefully I can find the items for this. Do you remember what we were last year? No? Ok, let's take a look back to the previous years...shall we?

2010:
Not the most flattering or girly halloween costume, I know.

and last year:

Billy, ahem I mean Mad Hatter, won best costume last year and $200.
He's going to wear this costume for that reason for the next 55 years, probably.
He is the absolute cutest though and plays the part so well, so this is OK.

Are you dressing up for Halloween?
What are you being?

Now, I have some good stuff for you party people.

  1. I like any vintage style halloween costumes for Halloween (ie: Marilyn Monroe). I think you should try to pull off the Hippie look for Halloween!!

I think you should be a shower puff for halloween (check the picture out- it's not as lame as it sounds) It's a pretty easy costume to make and what girl doesn't love wait tulle. Here's a picture:

  7. My favorite had to be last years costume, I was a gypsie. It turned out better than I expected! I think you should go as something creative like a gumball machine or a cupcake. Of course there are TONS of ideas of both of these on Pinterest :)

  8. Already a fan of your FB page :)

  9. You should be a cupcake! Its super easy to get a silver piece of cardboard at the store, bend it back in forth to make the liner, and then take batting from a craft store to wrap around the top for the icing. I even cut up felt sprinkles in different colors!!

  11. my top 2 favorite costumes ever:
    1. in 2009, my 5 girlfriends and i were the teams from the legends of the hidden temple. complete with official t-shirts and gold helmets and pendants of life!
    2. the past two years i've been a magic 8 ball. i just wore a black dress. i printed a black 8 on white paper, cut it into a circle and laminated it; then i typed out the magic 8 ball answers on white paper, cut them into triangles and laminated them. i pinned the 8 on my back and tied the 8 ball answers on a piece of polka dot ribbon around my neck. people asked me questions all night, and i could answer them! some shaking of me occurred as people continued to drink. it was awesome.

andddd what should you be...dorothy from the wizard of oz. :)

Ok I know...it was an honest mistake. I'll forgive you but only because I'm ASSUMING your readers automatically know who I am without a link. (One can only dream...right?!)

Please don't be the spider again. You need to show off more leg...and arm...and everything. You might as well have been a NUN. Let me know if you find the stuff for your *costume*! It;s like we'll be Halloweening together...but not. But kind of.

    Loves you baby bear! xoxo

  15. One of my Halloween favorites was a 1920's flapper! Such a fun dress to twirl around in all night. Wonder Woman for you this year??

    ReplyDelete
  16. Haha the spider may not be the sexiest of costumes but hey it's creative and fun. Last year two friends and I were peace love and happiness - each of us a different word. Pretty fun but this year I'm back to my roots of Halloween being the one day out of the year I can look like a how and get away with it mantra.

  17. I'm going as Psy which allows me to Gangham style everywhere! Walking to get another drink...Gangham style! I always wanted to be Mary Poppins, Minnie Mouse and Betty Boop.

Haushka and I want to win!!! :)

  27. My favorite Halloween was the year my college roomies and I were contestants from the Nickelodeon game show "Guts". Complete with a piece of the aggro crag and obnoxious confetti to celebrate our "win" that ended up in everyones drinks by the end of the night... opps.
You should be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz in honor of the winds we may be getting over here on the East Coast!

It came w/the bonnet, knee high white & red socks, and it was actually kinda fluffy in the skirt area haha! Since you were Bat Girl already, now you should be Poison Ivy from Batman as well!
