Boat Barge & Leaving for TX!

Hola senoritas! and senors (if there are any senors reading..)

How was your weekend?
Once in a while a really great Monday comes along,
and today would be one of those Monday's.
This time tomorrow, we will be just about landing in the Lonestar State
(our flight is at 6am--yikes!)
and have the next 7 days to spend on vacation with some of the coolest people on the planet!
I'm sure a lot of you have short work weeks as well, so you can be excited with me, right?  And those of you that don't--I'm sorry. 4th of July on a Wednesday is just wrong.

Let's about this weekend first.
Columbus had some really cah-razy, terrible storms that came through on Friday.
We were actually already on our way out of town to the cottage, so we missed a lot of it, but there were 60-70mph winds and thunderstorms. Currently 200,000 people here are without power and they are saying it could be out until Friday. Luckily, we came home to power and our furniture on our deck were fine, but many trees smashed through houses all over town and the highways were a mess because light poles were smashing into cars.

On our way to the cottage, we came across 2 detours and drove through what looked like the aftermath of a small tornado. Farm equipment was thrown everywhere, trees were on top of houses, and we saw goats (yes, goats) walking all around the roads because they got out! It was pretty crazy. Hopefully the power comes on soon for everyone here in Columbus without power!

When we got to the cottage on Friday we went for a boat ride before it got too dark, and then on Saturday we took the boat to Cedar Point and anchored it at the Boat Barge. The boat barge was awesome and we had perfect weather for it.

Oh, and I painted my nails to look like a sunset
(I used a light sorbet color first, then a coral color, and then a darker red)
are you surprised?

Last night was spent packing (ahem, I packed. Billy washed cars?!) and running all kinds of errands. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm mostly packed already (shocker!), so I don't have much to do tonight but pack up Rocky's things and watch the Bachelorette. Priorities.

If you think I packed my entire closet then you would be correct.
I'm an extreme overpacker...but it's better to be safe than sorry, right?

Since I won't be around all week, I hope everyone has an amazing (and safe) 4th of July
I decided to not have any posts scheduled or have any guest posts, so I will catch ya on the flip side when I return.
(and probably saying ya'll for good...)

Here we come TEXAS!!!!!!!

xo.
