About Me Vol. 2

Kristin tagged me in this award.
Kristin and I have a lot of common and I'm so happy I found her blog..she lost her mom at a young age and has had her fair share of battles from losing other family members as well, just like I have. She is so down to earth and I really enjoy reading her blog. Thanks Kristin :)

Who inspires you?
This is an easy one...My mom. The person she was and who I want to be. She battled breast cancer for 13 years and seemed to always have a smile on her face. The way she cared for me and loved me is something I will never forget. I really wish I could be just like her and I hope I am just as good as a parent as she was.

Two other people that inspire me are my husband Billy and trainer Jillian Michaels. I love Jillian...random but oh so true.

What is your favorite season and why?
Summer & Fall {it's a tie}~ The warm weather and all the fun activities! Fall is beautiful in Ohio. I love seeing the leaves change colors, college football season starts up again {Go Buckeyes!} and having that first sip of a Pumpkin Spiced Latte :D

What are you most looking forward to this year?
Our 1 year wedding anniversary and all the vacations we will go on!

If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about?
I'm with Kristin on this one...A book about dealing with a loss.

What is your greatest passion?
I have a huge passion for helping people. It aches me everytime I hear of someone dealing with a loss..it weighs heavy on my heart. When the shooting at Columbine happened back in 1999, I was so distraught about it that I ended up emailing some of the parents of the victims that died. Just to reach out and tell them I'm sorry and show some support. I get really consumed in stories like that..I guess it can be a good and bad thing.

If you could change one thing about your life or yourself, what would it be and why?
I wish I wasn't as sensitive and gullible. I wouldn't change anything about my life right now. I love it!

Lastly, what is your favorite novel?
I really liked The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.
Very inspiring story and I wanted to read it over and over again.

This girl also loves all of the Twilight series. Shhh ;)

Have a great day everyone!

Before we're off on our long weekend getaway, I'm going to post a yummy (and super easy) Valentines day recipe early tomorrow that you can make your special Valentine!
