I can't believe it's already August.
August is a big month for us...
let's break it down.
-plans every weekend including trip with Billy's family
-Rocky's birthday on the 13th (he'll be 4, ahh!)
-Me and Billy's "other" anniversary on the 25th: dating for 8 years
-our actual anniversary on the 28th: married for 1 year (Boston/Cape Cod trip)
-and this week I've officially been a vegetarian for HALF a year!
Wowza.
The weekends keep flying by and this one was no exception. Here's a little bit of what I was up to...
Friday night, I went and visited my girlfriend (who was also the florist for our wedding) who just had twins..Callaway (boy) and Channing (girl). Aren't those super cute names? Later that night, we went out downtown to have one last night out with another girlfriend who is moving back to New York.
Saturday was spent at my favorite location....poolside.
The pictures above are from Sunday. Sunday morning we went to Sweet Clove Sunshine Cafe (again) and had a wonderful late breakfast. This time I chose The Garden omelette and it was delicious. Billy opted to get lunch and chose got the club sandwich. We went fishing at my parents house for a little bit in the afternoon before we ate dinner.
See that cute pic of Rocky? He got groomed last week and I never shared this picture..he is looking so studly, don't you think?
We also made a very special stop yesterday.
Remember how I mentioned in June that it was my mom's 10 year anniversary of passing away and we planted a butterfly bush at her grave?
We stopped there yesterday to check on it and water it and there were butterflies all over it...beautiful monarch butterflies and some baby butterflies. It made me feel so good and I know my Mom loves it.
Did anyone watch Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding that was on Saturday night?
Yes, I was exhausted from the previous night and from the pool that day so I forced Billy to watch it with me.
It was so adorable. They are so adorable together.
I've always been a huge Nick Lachey fan (98 Degrees anyone?!)..what can I say? He's an Ohio native and is pretty easy on the eyes. I will admit that back in the day I really really liked him and Jessica together, but after getting to "know" Vanessa and hear her family situation a little more, I can see how they make such a good couple and I can relate to her. I loved watching how much fun Vanessa and him have together...they are always laughing and having a good time together and their wedding was beautiful! I wasn't the biggest fan of her dress...I actually liked the other dresses she tried on more than the one she ended up with! Did you like her dress choice?! I may or may not have teared up a few times watching it all. ;)
Also..can I just say what beautiful babies they will have? Vanessa is absolutely stunning!
What did you do this weekend?
This upcoming week should be a good one...tomorrow night is the Goo Goo Dolls concert with my best friend Lindsay and we are getting our favorite SUSHI beforehand. I'm already craving it and it's only been a week since having it last! Also, this upcoming weekend is the Irish Festival in our town! More details on that later :)
TOMORROW I will be sharing my "Did I Do That?" VOLUME 2 so ya better come back and check it out.
xo.
