Revlon Nail Trends

 {Revlon Parfumerie™ Scented Nail Enamel}

If there is one thing I'm certain of when it comes to beauty tips, it's that having your nails done will always make you feel more put together and glamorous.

Between work, cooking, and going to the gym, sometimes I just don't have the time to put together a really cute outfit before a night out (you know that feeling of 'I have nothing to wear' but in reality maybe it's that you have TOO much to wear which is causing all the confusion?). Sometimes I'm in so much of a rush, especially this time of year, that I have to settle with wearing my hair back in a pony tail after using some dry shampoo, but a quick way for me to instantly feel more girly and put together is to make sure my nails are done. It's such a quick fix that always works.

Besides, what girl hates nail polish? I don't think I've ever met one.

It's not often that you would see me without nail polish on. Since I paint my nails often (every week almost), I like to stick with brands that I know are reasonably priced but will give me salon type results. I have been using Revlon's nail polish lately because the polish is thick and you don't even need multiple coats with these colors. I did one coat and was good to go! If I had to pick a favorite nail polish color (believe me, this is hard), I would have to pick a classic red like Revlon's China Flower. You simply cannot go wrong with bold red nails....

A nail polish trend I'm seeing a lot more of this season are metallics. This color, Autumn Spice, is perfect for the fall and winter months...

Revlon has taken nail trends to another level recently. They came out with scented nail polish shades (three different shade families: fruits and florals, sweet and spices, and freshes) where the fragrance of each bottle is revealed when dry. This just adds another fun touch that other nail polish brands don't have!

Way to go Revlon, way to go..

Revlon Surf Spray (a perfect summer/spring shade!)

A little secret of mine is that I like to keep some of my favorite nail polish colors on my work desk (or in the drawer) for quick touch ups. Plus, it makes pretty decor! :)

I'll leave you with two thoughts:
1. Nail polish makes excellent stocking stuffers for any woman - mom, friend, wife, etc. (Christmas is coming quickly you know!)
2. A little extra Christmas cash always helps, right? Righttt?

Just answer this question below in the comments and maybe you'll have $50 more in your wallet via Visa Gift Card to spend on Christmas presents!

"Which favorite beauty tip secret would you like to reveal?"

*I will be back tomorrow sharing all about our Friendsgiving and sharing a fun DIY gift for your friends and family!

  1. My favorite beauty tip secret is the Jordana Extreme Volumizing mascara from Walgreen's! It's only $2.99, and the best mascara I've ever used for my short, stubby lashes :)

  2. I love the Autumn Spice! And your ring-- gorg! PS- did you ever try the Boots brands? (other than the one you bought)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Use face moisturizer every single day. I believe moisturizer is the key to looking young!

  4. kind of obsessed with that autumn spice color! my favorite trick is to put extra mascara coats on the outer lashes to make your eyes appear wider and doe-like. :)

  5. If you knew me, you'd know that I am a nail polish addict! At any given time I have about 5 bottles of different colors in my purse. My one trick is that I *always* have topcoat with me - so I can touch up my nails on the go to make them look freshly painted anytime :)

  6. I love nail polish too:) always makes me feel more put together! My go to beauty tip is to always have dry shampoo nearby. If I miss my alarm clock or am too lazy and don't want to do my hair ... It is a lifesaver!

  7. I recently started filling in my brows with a powder instead of a pencil and I think it makes a world of difference. Filling in brows totes makes my makeup look more complete :)

  8. I love painting my nails but hate when I smudge them quickly after putting on a new color. My secret is to spray Pam cooking oil on nails after they are finished. It dries them quickly and makes them hard as a rock. (Sounds weird but totally works! You can wash your hands with soap and water right after with no smudges.)

  9. Cetaphil is my go-to. I have crazy oily skin and roseacea and good ole cetaphil is amazing!

  10. My beauty secret is to put chapstick on dry hands before bed. I sometimes put socks on my hands to make sure the chapstick doesn't get all over, but when I wake up I have super soft hands!!

  11. I wouldn't quite call it a "beauty" tip, but I never leave the house without earrings on! They also make you look much more put together, even the simplest of studs.

  12. Always brush and floss your teeth, this is a beauty tip because your teeth are so important and always looked at :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. My favorite beauty secret is to use a baking soda/water mix to wash your hair instead of shampoo. It has changed my hair completely, & made it so much healthier, shiner, & adds some bounce!

  14. My favorite beauty tip/trick I learned from my mom...I take a q-tip, wet it, then put a little soap on it, and use it to remove any stubborn mascara or eye makeup that is under my eyes. Works great without messing up any other makeup!

  15. Love the blue color! My tip, use a firming face cream no matter how young you are, prevention is key! I started well before college and I still don't have any lines over 10 years later. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dry shampoo is my beauty tip, and I wished I'd learned about it/used it sooner! I am HOOKED :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. LOVE those bottles!!! Super cute! I don't really have any "tips" but I believe that sometimes not wearing any make up & letting your face "breathe" is good!

    ReplyDelete

  23. Thanks for the review! helpful stuff--i've been wanting to try out scented nail polish but wasn't sure how it worked. (i.e was it just to mask the nail polish smell when wet? Good to know it's not!). My beauty secret is my DIY facial makeup concoction: part primer (I use Bare Escentuals' because it's awesome), part foundation, and part SPF moisturizer! A quick pump of the mix is like a tinted moisturizer with a little more coverage that lasts all day, and if I need more coverage I just hit it with some powder on top! I love it and it's so cheap too!

  24. Pretty nail colours! Love them all! My fave beauty tip secret is that baby powder makes for an amazing dry shampoo!! ;)

  40. My cousin in law has been raving about this nail polish on her YouTube channel and I still have yet to get a chance to pick any up. Still shower though and clean yourself (:

  47. My favorite beauty tip; that face lotion you use on your face at night and in the morning? Slather it on your neck, too. My mom is in her mid-60s and has been putting face lotion on her neck in addition to get face for 40+ years. She has virtually ZERO wrinkles on her neck and VERY few on her face, too. I'm a believer!

  66. Best beauty tip ever- blast your eyelash curler with your hairdryer for a second then curl your lashes- the curl stays forever! Don't blast too long though, or the curler will get to hot and scald your eyelid, not that I've know that from experience or anything :-)

I was dumping my used coffee grounds in the compost bin in my kitchen and for some reason I got the idea to dump them on my hands and rub them around. IT WAS AMAZING!
