Fall "Flavors"

 {boots that I'm wearing horseback riding are from Target earlier this year; boots that I'm wearing in top left pic of this bottom collage are actually from Aeropostale (who would've thought?) recently for $25. Both of the graphic t-shirts are from Old Navy recently}

As much as I love going on vacation, sometimes it's just as nice to get back into the swing of a routine back at home {see also: catch up on sleep and to detox from eating out}. It also helps when the weather has been pretty much perfect the past week or so. I was able to cross some things off my fall to-do list this past weekend {including sleeping in both days}and it feels pretty good....peanut butter chocolate chip pumpkin bread, anyone? More on that deliciousness later this week!

Saturday we did one of our yearly traditions, which is to go to Marmon Valley Farm for horseback riding through the woods. It's the perfect fall activity for during the day, as you can see all the beautiful leaves that have changed colors, and we brought home some pumpkins with us.

I actually have my first private horseback riding lesson tomorrow (at a different place), too! Being able to ride horses, and to just do something different, twice this week makes me happy.

The rest of our weekend was filled with seasonal pumpkin beers, chili, and relaxing. Crazy kids, I know. Tomorrow I'll be back with {hopefully}a new blog design to showcase and to finish up the last of our Southern California travel adventures! :)

Lastly, I wanted to direct you all to Kate's blog, where I'm participating in a really meaningful adoption fundraiser that she is having starting today. I'm giving away one month free ad space for it and so are some other amazing bloggers. I encourage you to watch her adoption story, too. Warms my heart. Head on over to learn more about it and enter!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fall related?!

  13. What a cute new blog design and I just love the Adoption Fundraiser you are participating in-- how touching! And horseback riding.. so much fun! I miss it. I used to take private lessons all the time and was a barn manager at a competitive hunter, jumper, dressage barn. I would get to work out multiple horses all day long and I loved it. And the scenery in your pictures.. omg, it almost makes me want to move away from my beautiful beaches. Almost.
