it's that time again.

Monday..already?! Yikes!

Well, this weekend Billy went back at our college (BGSU) for his annual alumni hockey weekend. All the alumni hockey players come back for the weekend and play in a hockey game vs. the current players that are on the hockey team. He called me after the game all excited because he scored 5 goals! You go babe. This was the first year I haven't gone but it was OK because I got so much work done around the house and surprised him.

I apparently had the biggest itch to paint. On friday night around 8pm, I decided to start painting this room in our house that was originally our Buckeye (think Ohio State football colors) room that we have been wanting to paint for a while but just haven't done it yet. I had the paint so I said what the heck..I'm doing this. I finished painting it Friday night around midnight and then in the morning I decided to paint our upstairs hallway. I was in the painting mood, I guess! I'm so glad I was though because Billy and I are LOVING all the work I did! I even had time to put old furniture on Craigslist Saturday morning and by Saturday afternoon I SOLD it!! It was wonderful. He was so surprised when he got home to not only see all the painting I did but see that some of our furniture was gone haha

The room is now pretty empty because we are trying to find a comfy chair, floor lamp, table, and possibly a cute bev. cart to put in it. I was so focused on painting I forgot to take before and after pictures..but all the rooms were red before and now 2 walls are a neutral tan color and one I did in a deep brown as an accent.  

Saturday night, after telling myself I would stay in and rest, I went out with my girlfrands! So glad I did. It was so nice out and I wore sandals for the first time this year..whoopp whoop.

On Sunday the weather was...wait for it, wait for it...BEAUTIFUL. I'm talkin' 80 degrees. I picked up my niece Mara and we came back to our house and she helped me paint 3 small pots that I'm planning on growing my own herbs in {will post pictures later!}. We painted them yellow, grey, and blue. Then we took Rocky to the dog park to play and he loved it. There were like 10 other small dogs there so Rocky was a happy boy. I'm not sure who it loved it more though..Mara or Rocky. She just loves Rocky and it melts my heart watching her get so excited to hold him and walk him.

Billy and I just relaxed last night together and hung some pictures in our basement. I was so happy to have him home even though he was only gone 2 days :)
