the God Box & my Love Notes?

To be honest, I didn't really plan on blogging today. I haven't felt very creative this morning and then I stumbled upon THIS rather amazing article, called Inside the God Box from Real Simple Magazine. This article brought tears to my eyes and if you have been following my blog, you will know why. If you just happened to come across my blog, read here how this article relates so much to my life and also how this lil' blog of mine came about! I am so incredibly thankful for the "love notes" my mom left me and her journals she wrote me...I will be forever grateful and I hope to do something similar for my children. 

If you have ever lost a parent, I recommend taking a moment out of your day and read this article. If you haven't lost a parent, I still recommend taking that moment out of your day to read it :)

I knew immediately I had to share this with you all and I hope you love it just as much as I do.

  

The day I started this blog, I didn't know what it would turn into or what to expect but I believe my mom was that voice in my ear saying "Do it! Do it!".  I have found several girls from blogging who have also lost a parent to cancer (and in other ways too) and it has been a true blessing to read your stories because at the end of the day...

 I realize: I am not alone.

We can lean on eachother for strength and support...besides we are the ones that know exactly how eachother feels. That is something I am so thankful for this holiday season.

So..GOOOO! Get to reading!

Maybe it will inspire you to do something like this for a loved one who is going through a difficult time, with your kids, or just to live your life a little differently... :)
