Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts For Men

Men's Gift Guide

Dear Men, Why ya gotta be so hard to shop for?
Sincerely, All women.

I had some requests for a gift guide for men, especially dad's. Then I had to kind of laugh because my Dad is seriously the hardest person in the world to shop for and I'm always stumped on what to get him. So, since I'm not sure I could come up with an entire gift guide just for dad's, I included ideas for your husband, brother, etc. in this one too.

I will say, last year we got my Dad this FitBit and he's worn it and used it everyday since then. Great gift! Here are my other favorite picks:

1. Bose SoundLink BlueTooth Speaker: A portable speaker that is simple to use so he can play his tunes or videos anywhere.

2. Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine Bundle: Nespresso seems to be hot item right now. Enjoy coffee-shop drinks in the comfort of your own home! This one features auto shut off safety feature, plus removable drip tray for easy clean up.

3. Subscription to Wine of the Month Club: This is an excellent deal featured on Groupon. You can choose between white or red wine and a 2 month, 4 month, or 6 month subscription.

4. "I Love You - That's All" Mug: Because sometimes we don't say it enough. :)

5. Patagonia 'Better Sweater' Zip Front Jacket: LOVE the sporty style of this jacket. Also comes in grey and black. Warm and comfortable.

6. Moshi iGlaze Armour iPhone Case: A durable cell phone case is always a winner. Especially one as sleek as this!

7. Yeti Tumbler: All the rage right now and are selling out quickly! They are known to keep ice 2x longer than plastic tumblers and are designed for maximum ice retention and work just as well for hot beverages.

8. Kiehl's Ultimate Man Full Body Refueling Set: You can't go wrong with Kiehl's products. This set is currently on sale and features a face wash, shave cream, facial moisture treatment, body scrub soap, hand salve, and no-shine lip balm. Great deal!

9. Mocassin Slipper: A new pair is a smart and comfy gift to give. Under $40!

10. Herschel Supply Co. Duffel Bag: I really love this bag! It's water resistant and has an adjustable shoulder strap.

11. FitBit Charge HR: Like I said above, the FitBit makes a great gift for men. (I went with size Large for my Dad)

12. Bose SoundSport Audio Headphones: NO ONE likes cheap headphones that fall out every other minute.

13. Lululemon Core Short: I bought these for Billy last year for Christmas and he wears them all the time. They still look brand new. I love how they look on him!

14. iHome Dual Alarm Clock Radio with Speakerphone and USB Charging: He can wirelessly steam music, make/answer phone calls, charge mobile devices, and set an alarm. On sale for $50!

Which gift is your favorite choice? I hope this helps a bit! Happy hump day!

Scenes From Our Weekend + Our Christmas Card

I love this time of year...house is all festive, holiday events every weekend around town, receiving Christmas cards (the fun kind of mail!), and so on. It just makes me happy! And now with a little one around the house, it does make this Christmas even more special for us. Camden is at a really good age too where he's curious about everything, so seeing him very interested in the lights, presents (ahem-wrapping paper), etc. is so much fun.

Here's a look into our weekend:

We got our tree decorated finally! And surprisingly, Camden doesn't care about touching the tree that much. We thought we were going to have to put baby gates around the tree to keep him off it, but he really just stares at it and touches it gently once in awhile... shocking.

Took Camden to the Wild Lights at the Columbus Zoo! They had a really impressive light show going on with Christmas music playing and Camden was fascinated..he kept smiling and laughing!

I found this hanger at TJ Maxx recently (only $10!) to hang our stockings since we don't have a fireplace. It's pretty cute for being so inexpensive, but next house I'm not settling for not having a fireplace...mark my words. :)

Our 2015 Christmas Card!

I ordered them from Tiny Prints and couldn't be happier with how they turned out. I love the cute polka dots on the back, too! I kinda want to leave it up in our house all year...obsessed.

Not pictured? Camden took TWO STEPS yesterday (!!!) He has been trying to walk on his own for the past couple weeks now but he's never gotten farther than a step before plopping on the ground...until yesterday. He took two steps and continued to stand for a few seconds, so it shouldn't be too long now! Although, I would be OK if it didn't happen for a little bit longer because...wild.

How was your weekend? One more week closer to Christmas!

Can Someone Tell Me

...if it's horrible that our Christmas tree isn't decorated yet? We actually bought one two new trees this year and my plan is to return the one we don't love. The problem is that now that they're both up, I like them both. Of course. But I think I'm going to go with the flocked one because I love the look of it. Ornaments coming soon.

...if you own a pair of these leggings? If the answer is no-spend that $27 and don't even think twice about it. Best. leggings.ever - they're not see through and don't fall down!

...what you'd like to see as far as gift guides go? I'm only going to post 2 or 3 this year (next week), so any input on which ones are the most helpful or what you would like to see would be great!

...why truck drivers honk at women when they drive by? what exactly is the point of this?

...if you've ever seen cuter Christmas jammies in your entire life? Because I haven't. They are from Simply Made With Love and are SO soft and precious, I wish I could keep Cam in them all day everyday. They also have these Santa Sack's available (below) that you can get personalized.

perfect for kids prezzies!

...why I shouldn't add this watch to my wishlist? Sale. sale. sale. NEED.

...if I'm wrong for saying that it's officially Home Alone season? Billy doesn't understand this. To me, watching Home Alone during the holidays is like a weekly thing. I don't just watch it once...heck no. Far too good for that.

...to pull myself together! I ordered Camden's first birthday invites last night and started crying. What is wrong with me?

...if you spotted these oval stud beauties marked down? I wear earrings way more than I used to because Cam doesn't pull on them (like he does with my bracelets!), so these would be a perfect addition! Hint, hint Billy.

...how it's possible that Cam gets into everything (literally-we just had to put a lock on our oven door and add knob covers) but hasn't touched the tree(s) yet? Is it just a matter of time? He loves to look at them, but hasn't tried getting all into their business yet. Oh, I so pray it stays this way.

What are you wishing you had all the answers to?

DIY: Salt Dough Hand Ornament

DIY? On this blog?!

You're in the right spot...promise.

It's been since Easter that I've done a craft of any sort, but I couldn't resist this cute ornament using Camden's handprint. I had some questions about it when I posted on my instagram - it's not a kit and it's incredibly easy to make yourself at home!

I created this graphic so you can just save it or pin it, and pull it up easily when making it. I feel like handmade ornaments are becoming a thing of the past (parents-tell me schools are still doing them as crafts?), but I loved seeing all the ornaments I made as a kid!

It's not perfect, but I think it turned out pretty cute. Can't wait to hang it!
